March Birchbox

Hey followers! Thanks for checking back, i haven't disappeared i've just been super-busy!

This months Birchbox may well be my last for a few months, and i'm so sad that i'm going out on such an AWESOME BOX. I was kind of hoping it'll follow the usual trend of a few good boxe's and then a rubbish one, but i can safely say Birchbox havent been a let down yet.

Anyway in this months box we had;
NOMS! Thats right this moths boxs' theme was "Good Enough to Eat" and boy it was!!!

This months "Lifestyle Extra" was Propercorn usually £0.90 per bag. I got the flavour Sweet Coconut and Vanilla, they also do Lightly Seasalted, Soured cream and Chive, Fiery Worcester Sauce & Sun-Dried Tomato and Sweet and Salty.
The Coconut and Vanilla Flavour i tried was a bit bland at first, but it was so yummy after a few mouth-fulls. Something i will definetly be buying.

The Balm Cosmetics 'How 'bout them Apples' Cheek and Lip Cream, £26-£32 for full size pallet with all 6 Shades price depending on where you buy it from.
I don't usually use a lot of blush as i spend most of my morning trying to cover up my red cheeks. But this creme adds a nice healthy glow, i found i would use it along with bronzer to add a fresh sun-kissed look to my skin. The fact its a cream also means you can choose the opacity of the product, and its multi use so lip balm and cheek colour. I got mine in the shade "Pie" plus there's some FIT Cowboys to perv at on the inside so the packaging gets a million thumbs up! :p

RMK Make Up Base Soft, silk, smooth and slightly toned, has a really light vanilla smell to it, leaves your skin easy to work with for foundation and concealer base. A tad pricey at £28 but i've used my 15ml sample every day since i got my box at the begning of the month and it's not even half empty, so a good investment. It doesn't leave me with breakouts after either like some primers do, as it's so light i find it doesn't clog up my pours.

Colour Club Nail Polish last month Birchbox sent out and e-mail asking subscribers to choose a nail polish colour from this amazing brand, i choose the pastel green colour called "Breakfast At..." as i understand most people did indeed get the colour they selected and i'm totally in love with it. Of the four colour options (green, blue, gold and white) i choose the green because it was something different for my polish collection. I have a lot of different shades by different brands but they're all mostly warmer reds, pinks, golds browns and blacks, i just love this colour. Only downside, that even with my hardest wearing base and top coat's it still chipped after a day or so. :( £15 for the full set of 4.

Laura Mercier Souffle Body cream is AMAZING that is all...
But seriously i want to eat it. I know i cant and it's such a shame but it smells edible and the scent lasts all day on your skin. £27 for an average size tub, but worth it! I haven't even used a quarter of my sample in 3 weeks so it really lasts. Highly recommend it, everyone's been complimenting me on it.

Yin Yang Natural Moisturiser £13.95. this is my least favorite, i don't like the smell at all, it does the job and leave your skin feeling awesome but i'm not sure i want to put it that close to my nose every day.

So that was all in this Month's Birchbox. As i said i doubt i'll be getting one next month but i have a few awesome things coming up so stay tuned. And as usual dont forget to follow me on
INSTAGRAM -I post here nearly every day.

March Birchbox

Well, i didn't order it but it arrived anyway...suspicous but true. Alas i will not grumble because its been nothing but awesome since i opened it this morning!

Look at all the awesome!
This month saw Birchbox have a little collaboration with Lulu Guinness fashion and accessories designer. If i'm honest the only real input i can see from this iconic lady is the black and white stripe pattern and her red lip, on the outer box sleeve, the stick of rock (which inspired her latest "candy shop" collection), also a very generous £20 off when you spend £100 in any Lulu Guinness store, and a lil book of "Life Lessons, as told by Lulu Guinness.

Other then that it's just the usual lil' box รณ awesome samples.
First up, and perhaps weirdest of all is: Cellu-Cup! This is a new "massage" tool to help reduce cellulite. You squish all of the air out of it, suction it to your skin in the shower (must be wet) and massage your cellulite affected areas and it apparently gets rid completley after a few uses. Cellu-Cup is £16.

Next up is Benefit's Stay don't stray Eyeshadow primer in a light/medium shade. £20.50, i used it today, it works. Need i say more!?

Dr.Brandt, Pores no more, pore refiner. £39. I used this before my make-up, it's especially designed for oily skin, people with open pores, it works quite well but has quite a strong tea tree smell to it which i personally dont find very appealing. But thats a personal prefrence.

This Aroma Works Nurture Oil £32.50, is supposed to be applied after you get out of the shower, but i couldn't resist; and i'm glad i didn't wait. It makes your skin feel amazing and smells JUST like lemon sherbert. :)

Lastly, but my utter-most favorite item and my new MUST-HAVE perfume is English Laundry's No.7 For Her. £47. It's a beautiful scent that stays on your skin for such a long time. I cannot get enough of this stuff i'm actually scared of when it runs out. I'll be so sad.

I'm off to eat my Lulu Guinness Candy rock!
Enjoy!

February Birchbox (UK)

Hello!
Hope everyone had a lovely Valentines day, or if you don't go in for that kind of thing i hope you had a great "screw everyone in a relationship i'm going to get drunk or eat ice cream"-day!

Finally here is my first ever beauty box from BIRCHBOX! And it did not disappoint. I did a hell of a lot of research between all the different monthly beauty box options out there and between all the the reviews and un-boxing's i decided on Birchbox as it's the main one associated with SheSaidBeauty.com which i frequent quite a lot, and it seems to also be the only consistently good beauty box. Others seem to have odd months where there are just rubbish items in there, where as from what i researched Birchbox may sometimes contain a select few unwanted or un-desirable items but nothing as bad as the scale of some of the others.

Up First is the Beauty Protector; Protect & Oil is a hair conditioning and strengthening oil. It's a bit pricey at £16 for it's full size, but i feel it'll be worth it if you can afford to make the investment for your hair. I used it once and noticed a difference immediately. I have bleach damaged hair so it can be quite dry and brittle and i use a lot of moisturising products to keep it looking healthy and strong. This oil however done the job of 3 of my different products with results after one use, and as it's a hair oil so 2-3 drops through damp hair will work wonders (i have very short hair so only needed 2 drops). It smells like Candy Floss and is highly recommended. As far as i can find it is only available through beauty supply stores such as Birchbox.
- This is me with the Hair oil and the Eyeko eyeliner on!

Next is the EYEKO Skinny Liquid Eyeliner £12. This is my favorite item of this entire box and something i'm definitely going to be buying. I love my eyeliner as it is and this product is just so simple and easy, there's no separate brush, no fiddly little nib. It's literally just like a felt tip for your eyes. So far the small sample sent out seems that i'll last quite a while so i think if you were to buy the full size item it would last you a very long time. It's worth the price for all you eye-liner happy folk out there!

Nail Rock Nail glitter (in red) £6.99. This nail kit is widely available in a variety of colours and textures. I haven't yet used it but i'm looking forward to using it. Only reason i haven't yet used it is simply because i'm a studying Beauty Therapist and have to keep my nails clear and short for treatments. Also It takes roughly 20 min to apply... and ain't nobody got time for dat!

Urban Veda- Radiance Exfoliating Facial Polish £8.99 Seems a bit pricey for what it is, not that i'm adverse to spending to keep my skin looking good. It smells lovely and leaves your skin feeling amazing but nothing that other similar skin treatments wont do the same and perhaps for cheaper. Although it is 100% vegitarian, they don't test on animals and its organic. So i guess if your as worried about things like that as i am but have more money then i do you'd not hesitate to buy from this brand.

Last of all is the Gilchrist & Soames The London Collection Shower Gel £13.75. Over priced for what it is- Which is nice-smelling shower gel. I get the feeling with this item you're paying more for a label then products that are in the item to make your skin feel and look better. But i guess that may just be my opinion. The small travel bottle was handy for going to my mums over the weekend and i was complimented on my "smell" but it lasted about an hour. I doubt i shall buy this.

...I have a confession. There was also some Green and Blacks 70% Dark Chocolate (around £2.50) but i ate that before i'd even looked through most of the other bits, as i do LOVE my chocolate, especially Dark... OMNOMNOM

All-in-all Birchbox February edition was ace, i think I've found at least three brands i'd recommend and buy again.
