Bloggers Christmas Beauty Brawl 2016 (Day 9)

Day 9 is Hand Cream

I use hand cream all the time since i became qualified in Beauty. I didn't realise just how important your cuticles are to how well your nails grow.

I chose to go with one of the newer OPI Avojuice products, originally i opted for the "Cran and Berry" scent but i'm not a HUGE fan of it. So i switched it up for Coconut and Melon Juice and OH MY GOD does it smell DIVINE. I'm finding i'm moisturising my hands and nails more for the smell than the results (as you can see from it being already half empty!!!
Product: 89
Packaging: 90
Price: 60

The product does exactly what it says on the tin, (so to speak) the ONLY let down i have is that the smell hits a "critical point" where your natural body heat heats it up to make it smell weird. but up until that point it smells amazing.
The packaging is small and convenient. i keep it in my little make up case in my bag at all times. (there are larger sizes available)
Price, this was in a multi pack but individually it is only £2.25 anyway, which is really good for how long it lasts and the results you get from it.

Early Valentines Celebrations and Random Finds.

I got my hands on the BEAUTIFUL shimmery contour/highlight/blush pallet from Revolution in Superdrug...it was only £6 (HERE) In the shade "Golden Sugar". I also found this beautiful smelling, unopened and unused Gloria Vanderbilt Dusting powder, there's no link as its apparently gone out of production and loads of people seem to be looking for it online so I may sell it. I only bought it for the pretty pink vintage packaging but if someone out there wants it so bad I feel bad hogging it.

Due to our jobs neither of us really get to actually celebrate Valentines as we're both always working, so this year we took it upon ourselves to beat the rush and celebrate a week early. Although admittedly we wouldn't really be rushing anyway, as we are both well-aware you don't need a single day of the year to spoil each other. We try and do it as often as we can anyway and as often as we can afford. For example last month was a swanky hotel and a gig...this month...just so happened to coincide with valentines and was a meal out and a ring for me... (sqwee) It's a Pandora one I've wanted for aggesss. So i was super excited to get it! My treat to him is going to be towards the end of the month i'm taking him to see Deadpool (of course) and will be treating him like the princess he is. ;)

PUDDING BONUS!!!

June/July Faves, what I've been up to, why i've been quiet and HOW MANY VIEWS?!

In simple terms...there have been a lot of issues.
The End.

...But please read on for more!

Smells amazing!
After many job/money issues my partner and I are now moving at the end of the month and downsizing, to a much nicer and may i add Warmer house! Right next to a beautiful park with a river, and when i say next to, i mean literally i can hop over the wall and i'll be in the park! Whoop! so i've been busy packing this month- (as in august) so nothing really interesting to report. BUT, June and July were pretty darn good months! Although we were having to be frugal with spending i did hit up a few charity shops (thrift shops) and found a couple of awesome finds!

I also found this awesome quilted folder, seems to be hand made, or hand-repaired. Its so soft and looks amazing. I love this kind of "weathered" vintage look to things. Its just larger than A4 Size so i've been using it to keep my sketch book in.

Other things i've done the past few months, i've been focusing mainly on beauty or haul related blog posts, and this seems to be what all you guys love! I've had OVER 2000 views on my blog now! Which is INSANE for a small town girl like me, but not only that my Google+ page has been viewed so many times i'm literally blown away! Over 33,000! i tell no lies!

I've been catching up with Supernatural, seems as they are on season 10 now i thought i'd best get up to date! I've been slacking! And in true fan-girl terms this means I've power-watched through from season 1 to 5 in a matter of weeks (around work and packing). and i have also re-discovered my 9 year long obsession with that damn Impala! OMNOMNOM

Also for my sins i discovered the American section in Tesco where i live, i now have an possible incurable addiction to Peanut butter Oreo's.

Sorry things have been so boring! As i said i am moving the end of this month and once i am all moved in i will hopefully begin my Vlog! whoop! especially with my nice shiny  new surroundings! Plus MY BIRTHDAY is the end of the month too so hopefully if I've been good enough i'll have a birthday haul to show you guys too!

PRIMARK sale haul!

I was bad! So very very bad. I frequented Primarche and purchased a vast array of clothing items... which i didnt really need, but totally wanted.

First up is this EXTREMELY soft fleecy lined spotted panda hood-thing. I'm not sure what it is really, it's nightware, but it's a dress not a onesie, its knee length and has pockets. It's literally so warm i'm wearing it right now. That was in in the sale for £5!!!

Then we have a little Silver collar clip, or tips, with loads of little tiny crosses, really cute, literally just pin each edged to each side of your collar. That was 50p!

This silver necklace with gems and pink roses is really cute. I wanted when it first went on sale but every time i had any money i'd forget to go and get it. Finally go it and in the sale for £2!

This cream/off white chiffon shirt is extra long to cover my bum. Mainly what i want when i'm wearing leggings as we all know they can be a tad revealing around the buttox area!, its very sheer but super floaty and soft, i have a lot of crop tops and vests i can wear under it. And it as really cute little pearl button details too.£9

I bought these floral leggings to go with the floaty shirt, i'll probably also team them up with a few other floaty tops i have too. They were £3. They weren't in the sale section, and were still priced as £6 but they came up as £3 so who am i to argue!

EVERYONE should have something with a unicorn on at the moment. I don't care how "high fashion" you are, DO IT. And these slippers were only £2! Sooo cute!!! (The unicorn is saying i'm magic)

FINALLY i managed to get my hands on what i call a crap-Christmas jumper. Not because they're crap at all this one is actually really nicely made and fleece lined, so its stupidly soft and warm, i got it in a larger size, one because it was the ONLY one left and two because i like my jumpers to be a bit bigger so there's room. This was the last on the rail. Was marked as £8 but it came through as £5.

Then i got my hubbie one of these faux fur hats, with the ear flaps. He did get one for Christmas with a knitted Raindeer and star print on but its a little too small. As you can see this one is huge! It's really warm though. That was in the men's section for £8

This little simple knee length, stretchy black cami-dress was only £3 and not in then sale, they have loads in all different colours all at £3 each, a must have staple of anyone's wardrobe, you can layer with a top and wear it s a skirt, or wear it as a vest, or long vest with those pesky leggings, also great for summer just as a throw-it-on dress.

I found this red skirt on a sale rail for £3. It's actually really well made for a pencil skirt, has room in all the right places. And the black flock pattern is really slimming. They do have a red and emerald green version of this as a dress, not in the sale but its still a recommended buy. I personally didn't get the dress as it was sleeveless and im a little funny with ye olde bingo wings.

All in all a great haul. I put a brief video up of my items on my instagram, link HERE. So go and check that out and follow me there! Also my facebook page is finally up and running properly! This is where i'll be posting all my give-away's, competitions etc...so add me on the link HERE.
Thanks for reading! Also a big thanks to all my followers so far! :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

New TK Maxx is lethal...in a good way.

So, we have a new TK Maxx store here where i live, its actually so popular at the moment that on Saturdays and Sundays the entrance to the trading estate where its opened, there are usually traffic jams that cause back ups right into town and up the bypass too. So it's insanely popular; that pretty much coveres it.

When i was studying at university i used to visit TK Max in Cardiff which was awesome. I got some pretty epic items in there over the years. I'd also travel down to see my other half so i'd also hit the TK Maxx in Bournemouth, that one was not so great. I really think it's hit and miss with some of their stores. I used to hate the Bournemouth one as i could never find my size, it was messy and usually had prices missing. Where as in comparison the Cardiff store was elite, which, for now, is where the Yeovil store falls.

They have amazing staff, i was served by the same lady two days in a row (i was in there with the husband, then with mother) and this lady- I think she was called Helen- she was amazing. Such a laugh, really kept you entertained while she served you. Amazing customers service. Also obviously the store is all new and shiney and clean, smells nice, looks awesome, has loads and loads of stuff. All of which is labeled and in correct size order! (Not sure how long that will last over Christmas)

So, on to what i bought. First off was this amazing, sheer black shirt. It's quite long, which i love as it covers a multitude of sins, its so comfortable. From a dutch company called Micha. Designer, but obviously had a factory defect so was reduced. Originally £75.00 i bought it from TK Maxx for £14.99.

The only real defect i could find was with the gems around the collar there is one that is slightly out of line, if that's the only reason this was reduced then i can live with that!

Next is this amazing cosey jumper. Quite a chunky knit. But it's super-long and warm, and has this really cute open back detail with a little bow. I absolutely love it. Literally wearing it with everything at the moment, and that was only £15.

I'm definitely a fan to say the least. The Yeovil store is awesome. As a size 16, you do have to be careful of some items as they're designer they're not always true to size. I'd definitely recommend trying stuff on if your unsure or if it has no stretch at all. There are a pair of black velvet Rocket Dog boots i really wanted. I'm usually a size 5 but i tried them on, they're slip-on's with elastic down the side, kind of a Chelsea boot style but heeled platforms, amazing- anyway i tried on a 5 and they were far too narrow, even with the elastic, so i tried on a 6, and they were really easy to put on but a bit too big, i could probably get insoles but they were £35.00 and not really comfy enough to justify having to adjust them to wear them. I think perhaps they were so cheap because of the size differences from the true size.
Thanks for reading lovelies! XxX

New Look OOTD and job update (or lack of)

First things first, to get the negative out of the way, I now do not work at Primark...well technically I never did. It was my induction day today but due to my lovely Anxiety, I had a panic attack, freaked out and didn't go, although I've decided this is an improvement on previous attempts to get back into work where I never even turned up for interviews before. So i'm pleased i'm taking something positive away from all of this.

Moving forward to my outfit of the day! As I ended up mooching around town I obviously couldn't resist a bit of New Look, I finally got my Jeffrey Campbell dupes I've wanted from there, £29.99 (very limited stock, even online). Lets face it right now it's the closest thing I'll ever get to a real pair.

So I wore those with a pair of thick tights' £2.99, and this little simple bias-cut cotton-feel dress, £17.99, in lovely dark autumnal coloured vintage-style roses. It's such a lovely little dress just to stick on when you can't find anything or you're having an "I feel fat" day, as it covers all lumps and bumps due to its bias-cut; but also it's something pretty enough that you could dress up and cinch in with a waist belt, and team with a nice cardigan. Or as I did today; I added this purple and silver knitted jumper- also from New Look. I bought this in the sale about a month ago for £7. It's an amazing rich plum colour. A bit longer at the back, with open knit along the front shoulder seams. Matches well with the dress. I LOVE this outfit right now. Simple yet pretty. :)
