Beauty Brawl Day 9- Hand Cream

Day 9- Hand Cream

I think technically for this one I cheated, because I know i've purchase this stuff before a year or so ago...but I fell in love with it all over again. I bought this when this summer Beauty Brawl was being planned, its been in my bag with me everywhere I go and its nearly all gone already.
Where I work is very hands on. It's a lot of boxing, unpacking, dealing with paperwork, computer use, so my hands bare the brunt of all of my daily tasks and as a result dry out super quick. But this stuff leaves my hands and nails feeling divine and smelling edible!

Product: 89
Packaging: 75
Price: 90

Probably unfair that the hand cream I had before this was Lushs' "helping hands" so it had a lot to live up to, but to be honest although it doesn't feel as "good for you" as lush products do, it held it's own with its performance. I marked it slightly lower for the Packaging as i feel like it can be looked at again, the package can be quite bulky, so maybe a smaller tube, for cheaper obviously..or in a screw lid tub like a lush cream so it doesn't randomly pop open in your bag. The scent is amazing though, people around you commend on the smell for ages after you applied it. I found it was even leaving the scent on my computer keyboard.
Price at the moment is insane obviously because it is on offer, but even at full price it is still totally worth it for the results and the amount of product you get. Highly recommend this and am actually thinking i may try the other scents they do too.
 Love and Light xoxo

Primark Haul, River Island Bag, antique shop finds and Lush.

Hello Peeps!
I've have a busy month! I've got more hours at work! I've been attempting to re-arrange and re-decorate my house. I've been sorting out general life issues, including getting back to my more spiritual side, meditation, yoga etc... and I've been off on an adventure to Exeter to see my old school friends for a much needed-catch up, and obviously some retail therapy occurred!
I did have a huge issue the entire weekend away with my anxiety being on high alert, but I think I kept it quite well in check, with a little help from my friends. It has left me on a bit of a downer though, so to perk myself up...blog post! BOOM.
Product list, prices and links all at the bottom. xoxo

Mini Lush Haul

Lush lush LUSSSHHHH

I've had a love affair with lush for well over 10 years now. Their stuff just gets better and better, but i do find i prefer visiting their smaller branches as their staff are easier to communicate with, and i find it easier to explain that although they're trained to talk to customers and make them feel welcome and explain products, it sets off my Anxiety and makes me want to leave. Obviously not their fault, but does mean i dont really go into larger or busier stores which means when i do get to go into my nearest store (over an hour away) i feel like a little kid at Christmas.
As you can see i didn't get much, but i got what i wanted. I think you'll be able to tell there's a "sweet" theme too...haha...get it...no...? ...anyway....

Cast in order of apperance:
One of my all time favorite scents, in a small pocket of moisturisng goodness.

Yet more sweet candy scented goodness. If you love all their snowfairy range you need this soap in your life to get you through the harsh summer months.

Bath bomb, snow fairy scented, full of candy flowers...makes you feel like a candy princess...do you need more!?

Unicorn Horn £2.95
I cant link this, because the mythical being it is, it's no longer on their website. Looks like i got one just in time. My first ever Unicorn horn, and i have to say it's not as sweet as i'd hoped or expected but i still love the scent and how soft it makes my skin feel.

The Lush Boxing Day Haul/FAIL (wordy)

So, like most of you Lushie's out there. The boxing day sale is THE place to be to get all of your favorite seasonal items at half price or better, including some of their awesome gift boxes.
And like most for the past 3/4 years now it has been a long-standing tradition of mine to treat myself using either Christmas money or my own hard earned December overtime money (if you work in retail over Christmas you'll know what i'm talking about)...i usually hit their website around 8am...or if i have work as i get up and get myself ready i'll load it up...but this year it wouldn't load. The web page had multiple errors... i was putting items in my basked that had been on my favorites for a month or so and they'd disappear right before my eyes... but i gave Lush the benefit of the doubt, Thought to myself "i'm working all day, i'll have another try on my lunch break they usually dont start selling out until the next day or so."
So that's exactly what i did, i took my lunch break around 12, sat in Costa, got myself some lunch on the go, a coffee, sat in the warm and relaxed, loaded up Lush.com to see it was crashed completely...hummm this has never happened before.
So i went onto their Twitter feed, and saw they had announced technical difficulties but it should be back within a few hours, which was fine, my beloved lush was keeping me up to date, i'd just try again when i got home.
I got home around 7pm. fired up the P.C...Lush.com... and VOILA!!! it was alive...but had a que system in place... ahh. Well i'll join that and get dinner on... "estimated time 4 hours and 50 min"
Right then i wanted to face-palm, but by now i'm determined. It's become a past-time, a TRADITION. i will get some things in the lush online sale (i should probably note here there is no lush store within a 40-mile radius of where i live, and i cant drive so i rely on online services and have never ever been failed before, plus i was born in the UK...ques are my life.)
So...the time passed, by this point i wasn't sure i actually wanted anything that bad anymore but it was out of sheer stubbornness that i was in a que and i was going to make it to the end...and i did... i was exhausted...tired...sleepy and cranky by the time 12 pm rolled around and i finally got in, i added my stuff to my basked and purchased my gift boxes i wanted, as well as my HUGE bottle of snow fairy and a few bath bombs. As far as i was concerned i was lucky i got everything i wanted and more...then at the checkout as payment was processing... the site almost like refreshed and suddenly i was back to square one, no order number, nothing in my basket, no money had come out of my bank, no confirmation e-mail. I took a photo as evidence and tried again but the same thing kept happening.
I took to twitter to join the other people asking who had similar experiences and i was IGNORED. = STRIKE ONE....yet other people around me were being answered fine... so i e-mailed them and over a week and half passed= STRIKE TWO, and the response e-mail was polite yet completely over-looked my question, my problem and where my items were and if i could still have them even though for whatever reason the website was breaking every time i tried to use it...well by the time they had replied the website was fine again but nothing i had wanted or had ordered was left.
Their response was "to visit your nearest Lush store to see if any of the items you want are still available" or to "purchase similar items on the website"- which weren't in the sale, nor what i had ordered in the first place so = STRIKE 3.
THEN to add insult to injury, people OUTSIDE OF THE UK were receiving their orders they'd done through the UK website and sharing all of their lovely images on Instagram and twitter... rubbing it in my face. I was not impressed at all. after all these years i was let down and i didn't like it...LUSH, THAT WAS SO NOT COOL. = STRIKE 4.
So needless to say, Lush and i are in a complicated relationship. My bottle of snow fairy i purchased way before Christmas is dwindling, i have no bath bombs left, no face moisturizer or shaving cream, i even ran out of perfume. But i'm on strike. I am genuinely (and sadly) so un-trusting of their website now. And there seem to be a lot of people in the same situation. Im just going to have to wait until i can travel to my nearest store. But that totally doesn't help the situation with the fact im now sans-lush. POUT.

December Fave's (the month of Lush)

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

It's no understatement when i say winter is my favorite time of year, I can't really pin-point a specific reason, just in my mind it's more about home and family, everything is more glitzy and lushcious. It just has me literally buzzing.
My December had my first trip to Cabbot Circus, Christmas, Loads of Lush Products and plenty of sale bargains.

First up, at work we had a Christmas fair, where i had a stall selling odd little things i'd made. Also, my first attempt at shortbread, and i made our winter display cake for work too.

Next we have my epic sale finds in H & M, i spent a grand total of £10 all together on all these items.
Purple beanie, mint green dress and vest, and mint green and pink flower crop.

Then there was Lush.

Candy mountain bubble bar, snow fairy shower gel, seanik shampoo bar, full of grace solid face moisturiser, cannot remember the name of the solid glitter bar. But these all seriously smelt amazing, but this wasnt the end, i then bought one of Lush's 'Star of wonder' gift boxes in their sale.

This was reduced down to £17, it included; shoot for the stars bath bomb, snow fairy sparkle bar, more snow fairy shower gel, star light star bright bath melt, another candy mountain bubble bar, and sparkler bath fizzer/bomb.
And as if that wasnt enough, one of my best friends got me a Little Snow Fairy gift box for christmas, which included even more Snow Fairy shower gel and some pink Fun.

So, i literally smell lush! It's been immence, and i had such an awesome and relaxed Christmas day and as so lucky to get som really great presents, Star trek TNG season 2, Adventure time season 1, Guardians of the Galaxy Blueray and soundtrack, My perfume, Ghost by night. Pj's,a fedora, new purse, new make up bag, watch...but best of all, my Tattoo booked in with Paula Castle in Feb.
December 2014, you rocked.   :)
